Be Still - A Slow Living Retreat
With Kimberly Thompson
February 18 - 21, 2027
Come home to yourself.

Disconnect.
Breathe.
Reconnect.
We must step away from the rhythms of daily life from time to time—to create space, regain perspective, and remember what truly matters.
BE STILL is an invitation to be re-energized and reinvigorated, reminded and realigned with your true nature. Over four nourishing days, we will create an intimate retreat container where you can shed layers, renew your practice, and reconnect with the inner compass that guides you.
Step away from the noise, clutter, and confusion—and come hOMe.
The Taoist Three Treasures
Lao Tzu’s Three Treasures—Simplicity, Patience, and Compassion—invite us to live in harmony with the Tao, the natural way of life.
Each treasure is both a principle and a practice. Together, they offer a pathway toward inner peace, resilience, and relational healing:
- Simplicity returns you to your essence.
- Patience aligns you with the rhythm of life.
- Compassion connects you to the whole.
When we embody these treasures, we are no longer trying to be spiritual. We become attuned to the flow of life itself.
A Retreat in Rhythm with Nature
Each morning, we will gather for a nourishing somatic movement practice designed to release “the issues in the tissues,” regulate the nervous system, and reconnect you with the wisdom of your body.
We will continue with a connection circle and an exploration of one of the Taoist Three Treasures.
In the late afternoon, we will gather again for restorative practices supported by hands-on assists and massage.
Between sessions, you will have spacious time to:
- Visit the world-class spa
- Soak in the hot tub or swim in the pool
- Experience the steam room, sauna, and cold plunge
- Walk the land
- Rest by the fire with a book
- Simply do less
Slow Your Roll
During the retreat, you will experience:
- Quiet, warm luxury in beautiful accommodations
- Delicious, nutrient-dense meals at The Silo Cookhouse
- Mindful meditation walks in the cool, brisk air
- Daily somatic and fascial-release movement practices
- Gentle tools for releasing tension and regulating the nervous system
- An exploration of the Taoist Three Treasures, with handouts and practices woven throughout our time together
- Ayurvedic practices, including Abhyanga oil massage
- Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra
- Ritual, reflection, and meaningful connection
- Spacious time for rest, renewal, and the spa
